My wife and I wanted a mower that wasn’t as loud and noisy as a gas mower, didn’t require burning oil, and didn’t vibrate as much. This mower fulfilled all of our wishes. We have a 1/3 acre lot, and this mower with two batteries works just fine. The only time we need to recharge the batteries half way through mowing is when we wait way too long between mowings, and the motors need to do some extra work to chop down the tall weeds. This mower is fairly easy to push, since it is much lighter weight than a gas mower. We also bought the electric trimmer that uses the same battery system, so we were sure to buy that kit with an extra charger and battery. Sometimes we use the extra battery, but it is nice to have just in case. Overall, I would buy this again and am quite satisfied.

    Update 5/17/2014-
Still using this mower all the time, and it still works great. I’ve taken to only using one battery at a time, and keeping the other on the charger while mowing. Not sure it makes a difference, but I like it anyway to take a little break while mowing to switch batteries. When done mowing, I do tip the mower on its side and clean the underside. Some more expensive mowers have a water hose attachment to clean the underside, but I’m not sure I would spray water into the motor on this unit. 🙂 Using a stick works just as well, and seems to keep things working better.

    Update 9/25/2014-
So, I may have let the lawn go a little. I ignored the grass for a few weeks thanks to overtime at work, family matters, and just generally being lazy when I got home. The grass in the back yard made it up to a good 8-10″ tall. I thought for sure I would need a gas mower to power through that. Sure enough, my battery powered greed thing powered through it. Sure, I had to empty the silly bag way more often than I wanted (I never mulch), but the mower never stopped mowing because it was too thick. I’m still impressed, and still happy. Only thing I’m looking for is a grinder to sharpen the blades. Apparently a set of two replacement blades cost less than a “jackson” on Amazon with Prime shipping. I’ve found if I wait until the afternoon to mow when the grass is more dry, there is no need to clean the underside of the mower. Still 100% satisfied with this device, and 100% recommended.

I needed a lightweight, small lawn mower for the trim around my house. II was hoping this small, lightweight product would do the trick, and it does. I wish I could say I purchased this product to help the environment and save the whales, but I was really just looking for something that would be easy to use, require little maintenance, and be small and not take up too much room.

    Pros:

    – Small, lightweight
    – Very maneuverable to get into the small places my riding mower cannot
    – Wide range of height adjustments (issue with the previous model I think)
    – “Senses” deeper grass and speeds provides more power for such situations. I know someone complained about this, not sure why. It’s a simple approach but effective.
    – Quiet. It’s about as loud as a fan.
    – Easy to use. It was ready in 5 minutes (plus battery charging time). I did have to read the starting instructions (push button, pull bar) because I was just pushing the button and it wasn’t starting at first.
    – Battery life: for me, this is just trim work around the house. I can use it 3-4 times before having to charge the battery again.

    Cons:
    – The handle connection at the base of the mower seems a little flimsy, hopefully it will hold up over time
    – I wish they provided better instructions on the battery….should I charge it when it is fully discharged? Should I charge it after every use? Does it matter? I’ve opted to charge it when it is almost fully drained, hope that is OK. (It’s also possible they did provide instructions but in my limited scanning did not see such comments).

Overall, I could not ask for much more. No longer do I have to keep a gas-powered mower around for the light work around the yard. I can’t comment on how this would work for full-sized yards, but as a trimming mower it is absolutely perfect.

Great Concept – Poor Quality and Execution, April 29, 2014

    Greenworks 25302 Twin Force.

    Pros

Very cool looking and lightweight. Nice hard case clippings bag (but a little small). Nice easy height adjustment. I cannot comment on the longevity of the batteries as I have only had this mower a very short time, however as received they worked really well, charged quickly, and from a battery technology standpoint this seems to be a well executed concept. Auto battery selection while mowing is seamless.

    Cons

If you like a well manicured lawn this is NOT the mower for you. On regularly mowed normal height grass it produces a very ragged cut, even after several passes. If you have a need to mow anything taller than normal grass (edge of cutting area, high grass, weeds, or plants) it will only flatten them down and pass over them without cutting them. If it manages to cut them it will not mulch them or collect them. Basically anything tall does not cut easily or mulch. Twin blades simply do not compare to single blade mower. Blades actually do not overlap to produce a clean 20″ cut. What you basically have are (2) 10″ trimmers with hard blades under the deck working side by side.

Safety toe guard is very flexible rubber, is way too flexible, and way too short. When mower is moved backwards it immediately folds right under the deck and offers NO PROTECTION from rolling back over your toes. If this was a normal full bladed mower I am sure it would be damaged by blade contact. This is an important safety feature and is something I have seen in independent reviews on the net. The company must be aware of if it, even if it only performs cursory product reliability and design tests, and has chosen not modify or improve.

Foam handle covering developed a 2″ rip in end on first use (literally after second pass across lawn). There are many complaints of this on the web and the covering is of such poor quality that is a forgone conclusion that it will fail. A design flaw that I am sure that the company is aware of, and has also chosen not to fix. This is an expensive mower with high end battery technology, but they cannot put on a rubber handle cover that does not rip?

I have also read (but not yet experienced) another common problem is that the string attached to the safety bail stretches and will not activate the internal power switch if it stretches too much. A common problem, and design flaw, that is also another simple to fix quality problem. What other quality problems do they not care about?

    Conclusion

In conclusion I think the single blade 19″ version of the G-Max line, Model 25312, would be a better choice overall for more discharge options, better quality of cut, more height selections, and inclusion of (2) 4 ah batteries as opposed to the Twin Force (1) 4 ah and (1) 2 ah batteries. The exchange of a heavier mower I would conclude is worth it.

However I am choosing to request an RMA and a refund because of the quality issues I have had, and have noted in other reviews. Even at the sale price this mower is way too expensive to have the basic quality issues it has, and has influenced my decision to select another Greenworks product for purchase again. Finally, if a mower does not cut well then then why have it?

I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is an amazing lawn fertilizer. I used this in mid summer last year and the lawn turned deep green and stayed that way up until fall without reapplication. This works more effectively than any granular fertilizer I have ever used.

Used with the Miracle-Gro fertilizing bottle attached to a garden hose, your lawn gets a deep fertilizing without the worry of burning your grass. Have used Miracle-Gro LAWN FOOD since landscaping our yard 6 years ago and we have the prettiest yard in the neighborhood – as will any neighbor tell you.

instead of following the instructions and using it as a water based mix, I mixed it in with starter fertilizer and used a spread seeder. great results; lawn is lush green. only downside, i’ve had to mow it twice as much.
