To the skeptics of this product, what did you expect for the price? I needed an outdoor tent w/ sidewalls for an outdoor cigar smoking lounge (a party in the middle of January no less) and came across this beauty. I couldn’t rent one any cheaper and thought I would take the risk. It came with easy to understand instructions, but even if they weren’t included, it would take all of 10 minutes to figure it out… everything is numbered. (I don’t understand how people were complaining that it took hours to figure out a simplistic tubing procedure – common sense!). The tent was up within 15 minutes, sides and all. (2 guys assembled it)

Sure, it’s not incredibly sturdy – but if you put an extra $10 into fortifying it, you will be very pleased. Not only is the tent still up, (1 & 1/2 weeks and 1 snow storm later), I got tons of compliments on how nice it looked, and a request to borrow it as well.

“Pro tip”: buy a roll of white duct tape and reinforce all of the pole joints. Instead of buckets with stones (to better anchor the feet), use cinder blocks on their side. For maximum structure strength, we butted one side of the tent against our fence, and tied in the poles to the fence posts.

Overall, I was impressed with the purchase – and would recommend it to anyone who wants an inexpensive tent for their party/event.

This is my first review ever after purchasing something on Amazon- I’m doing it because I was so back and fourth about this tent and then I went ahead and pulled the trigger.

Okay- so first, I’m giving it 5 stars not because it is fantastic quality, but because for just over $100 it is a great tent!

I set it up with 2 other people and it took around an hour, we (as another review told us too THANK YOU reviewer) duct taped every connection that there was, we used white duct tape (again, per the reviewer) and it went up pretty well.

Some people complain about the directions, but a simple picture is all it takes to put up a tent.. so no worries there.

I left it up for 3 days, with very little wind (no more than 10 mph) and a very little bit of rain, but the thing held up just fine! I had no problem taking it down myself and after all the duct tape came off it looked good as new.

I’ve got 2 recommendations for you guys– USE WHITE DUCT TAPE to help support every connection, it will help… also, get a (1) small, but long (prob 4′) wooden dowel (I used super thick knitting needles) to support the center top connection- You’ll thank me if you do both of these things.

So- to summarize- you’re buying a super cheap tent, so don’t expect that you get a super sweet set-up, but treat it kindly and it will return the favor!

I reviewed the post on a few tent and this one also. Although I saw a few negative feedback post on this tent, I decided to take a chance. I am glad I did. We used the tent for my son’s graduation party on one of the windiest, coldest spring days this year in Maryland. I was able to setup the entire top section (roof) of the tent without any assistance. The tip about using white duct tape on the joints where the poles connect was great, as it helped keep things together while setting it up. I only needed assistance from my wife, my 18 year old son and 10 yr old daughter, when it came time to putting on the leg poles. There are adequate enough instructions to put this together and all poles were labeled. The tent was set up to be the food serving area for the cook out. However, it served another unexpected purpose of sheltering the food tables from the wind. The wind was so gusty that we were handing out fleeces and hoodies to guest, but this tent never buckled or even looked like it was coming down. We only put two of the rope tied downs on opposite corners, and it still held and has been up for the past 5 days even through a thunderstorm. (Just because I haven’t had time to take it down yet).

It only took 30 minutes, in all, to get this setup. Not sure why other people had so many problems with this tent, unless they were using it for some purpose other than what it is designed for. It is an event tent, and not made to be a permanent standing carport canopy. It has served it’s purpose well. I would recommend this tent to anyone and especially at this great price. Remember to buy a roll of white duct tape and tape the joints as this does help tremendously with assembly especially if you are doing this alone.
